Compassionate, Convenient Care for Veterans in Their Homes

Our team at Freedom Home Care is here to ensure Veterans receive the care they deserve. Our priority is to provide the care and support necessary to help Veterans of all ages maintain their independence, health, and quality of life while remaining in the comfort of a home environment.

We are an approved provider through VA Community Care. This program is for Veterans who need personal care services and help with activities of daily living. It is also for Veterans who are isolated, or their caregiver is experiencing burden.

Veterans may be eligible to receive services and care through Community Care when VA cannot provide what is needed. This type of care is paid for by VA. Community Care must be pre-authorized by VA before a Veteran can receive services from Freedom Home Care.

Our staff is happy to help you navigate that approval process. Please contact Freedom Home Care at 507-387-HOME (4663).

Many people provide daily assistance to loved ones so they are able to remain living in their homes. It is a very honorable thing to do but can also be very mentally and physically demanding. They can become tired, overwhelmed, frustrated, burned out or feel trapped.

Respite care offers much-needed relief for primary caregivers and is paid for through VA Community Care. Just a few hours a day, a few times a week, relieve burden and stress. It can be helpful to Veterans of all ages and allows the caregiver an opportunity to rest and rejuvenate.
